Board
Every five years, FIDA Uganda’s members elect a new Board. All members are welcome to participate in the election of a new board, with the exception of members of the Secretariat. A new board was elected during the Annual General Meeting held on 24 July 2010 at the Golf Course Hotel in Kampala. Please meet the members of our Board:

Secretariat
FIDA Uganda’s Secretariat is an extremely hard working, unstoppable team. The members of our Secretariat work tirelessly, often late into the night, because they are passionate about the role of FIDA Uganda in improving the lot of women in Uganda. Ms. Kamesi is the face of FIDA Uganda and a skilled coordinator. She welcomes FIDA Uganda’s clients and visitors, liaises with legal aid officers, and keeps close track of FIDA Uganda’s caseload statistics. |

Mr. Kazibwe has taken FIDA Uganda to every part of Uganda, over a period of twenty one years. He never gets lost and he always makes sure that FIDA Uganda safely reaches even the most difficult to reach destinations. |

Members
FIDA Uganda currently has over 300 members, and membership continues to grow steadily.
Members are invited to attend Annual General Meetings and to elect new board members every five years. Members may also benefit from training, consultation capacity building and mentorship from FIDA Uganda.
For all women lawyers who graduated from university before 2003, the annual membership fee is 200,000/= (Two Hundred Thousand Uganda Shillings Only).
For all women lawyers who graduated from university during or after 2003, the annual membership fee is 50,000/= (Fifty Thousand Uganda Shillings Only).
To become a member, simply complete our brief membership registration form and submit it to FIDA Uganda together with your membership fee.
